Booking terms and conditions

No reservation per Telephone.

All bookings are centralised at the Tourist Office of Obernai. Our lists of furnished accommodation are regularly brought up to date. However, as they are made available to a large number of people seeking holiday accommodation, please include in your reply a list of 4 alternative properties of your choice, in order of preference. We will reserve the first property on your list that is still available and then send you the booking form. Please complete this form and return it to us together with a cheque covering the deposit within five days. Cheques should be made out to L’Office de Tourisme d’Obernai. If you fail to reply within five days, we shall consider your reservation cancelled. On receipt of your completed booking form and cheque, we will send you the address of the property owner to enable you to arrange your arrival time to collect the keys to the property. Deposit: the amount due when you book (30%) is considered as confirmation of your reservation by the property owner. In the event of a cancellation on your part, the deposit can only be refunded if the property in question is booked by another person under the same conditions as your booking. If you have to make a late cancellation (30 days before the arrival day), the balance is due as it is stipulated in the civil code regarding transactions.
Rentals apply from Saturday to Saturday (arrival 2pm – departure 10am) The booking covers the number of people mentioned on our lists. Please ask for the property owner’s permission if you wish to include an extra person or in the event of a long-term visit. The owner reserves the right to refuse or to charge a supplement. The prices include gas and electricity costs in most cases except for heating, however, some owners will ask you to pay for the electricity you use based on a meter reading. Owners who do not mention off-peak prices do not hire out their property during that time. Local taxes applied in some areas are not included in the prices.

Check with your Insurance Company that the accommodation you have rented and its furniture are covered by your insurance policy. You will have to show to the owner the insurance certificate at your arrival.
